About Me

I have always had an interest in mental health and it feels important to me to create an environment, a secure base, where others feel heard and validated. Once ‘seen’ and ‘heard’ we can put that part of our live or self down and move forward.

Before training as a counsellor I have spent time providing emotional support for charities. I was a Samaritans volunteer for 3 years providing crisis emotional support by phone, email and text. I also volunteered for the charity Scope, providing emotional support and signposting for families who’s children have been diagnosed with a disability. I provided this service in peoples homes and in rooms booked by Scope in community and womens centres.
